ASA

The Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) exists to promote and protect the status, independence and best interests of Australian anaesthetists.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Do you want to meet key decision makers in Anaesthesia?

The ASA currently has 2900 members comprising approx 85% of Australia’s specialist anaesthetists.

The Society is a voluntary association of members practising throughout Australia. It was established as a means of exchanging ideas, for the distribution of information on topics of anaesthetic interest and to examine issues relating to the practise of anaesthesia in Australia.

Australian anaesthesia is well recognised as a world leader in the field of quality assurance, critical incident monitoring and reporting and continuing medical education.

Publications and events available for sponsorship are listed below or you can contact the Event and Sponsorship Officer for more information.

For bundle packages, download our media pack (758 KB).

Events

The National Scientific Congress occurs every year attracting up to 1000 anaesthetists.

The ASA also hosts a number of other varied and interesting anaesthesia-related conferences, lectures and events which are open to sponsors.

Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Journal

Anaesthesia and Intensive Care is sent to all of our members  and all New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists’ members, as well as a number of other Australian and international subscribers.

RVG
Relative Value Guide

”The Relative Value Guide (RVG) relates anaesthesia services, one to the other, on a basis of anaesthesia complexity and time.” It is an essential guide for all practising anaesthetists and all ASA members receive a copy each year.
