The ASA produces a business card-sized medical warning card.
In 1996, to commemorate 150 years of ether anaesthesia, a facsimile of the original publication by Pudney and Russell, New York, was reproduced under the auspices of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists. "Trials of a Public Benefactor" is a biography of William Thomas Green Morton, written by Nathan Rice, and published in 1859. Rice traces Morton's early life, his starting in the practice of dentistry and his interest in painless operations using ether experimentally.
