The Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) exists to promote and protect the status, independence and best interests of Australian anaesthetists.

Latest news

 

The ASA seeks to keep anaesthesists and members of the public informed on the latest issues relating to the practice of anaesthesia, workforce and economic issues, continuing education and innovation in anaesthesia.

 

The ASA has produced documents on Catastrophes in Anaesthetic Practice, in a long and short version. A trade practices manual is also available and further advice can be obtained from the ACCC in relation to on call rosters.

 

If you are a member of the AMA you can develop your understanding of the Trade Practices Act through an interactive learning program SALT.

 

The ASA's Position Statement on Risk Management is available as well as all the ASA's position statements.

National Registration and Accreditation Scheme
