The overall objective of this award is to promote a compassionate approach to the welfare of Anaesthetists, other colleagues, patients and the community. The nominee will have made a significant contribution to the welfare of an individual, a group or a system that promotes welfare and compassion. The individual group or system will be preferentially related to anaesthesia, but may alternatively or also be related to other colleagues, patients or the community (locally or internationally).
To be eligible the nominee, the proposer and the seconder must all be current trainees or Fellows within 3 years of Fellowship by examination at the deadline for the award which is 10 September 2010.
