Awards and Grants
Since the founding of the ASA in 1934, the Society has worked to support research and academic excellence in anaesthesia and pain management through Awards, Prizes and Research Grant opportunities offered to members and certain other eligible applicants. In 2009 the Awards, Prizes and Grants totalled $71,500.
The ASA is firmly committed to ongoing support in this arena and hopes that as the economic climate improves, the amount offered will be able to be increased.
