Focused Cardiac Ultrasound Workshop

18 and 19 July 2015 - Sydney

ASA together with Cardiac Skills Australia (CSA), a successful ultrasound-training provider, are offering a two-day focused cardiac ultrasound workshop specific to anaesthetists. Kellie D'Orsa King (Director of CSA) brings her extensive years in cardiac ultrasound and teaching skills to deliver a step-by-step basic approach to obtain the skill of performing a bedside ECHO exam.

Real World Anaesthesia Course (RWAC)

7-11 September 2015 - Darwin


This is the 24th Australian course and will be held a week before the 2015 Combined Scientific Congress.

The aim of RWAC is to prepare anaesthetists for work in low and middle income countries in a variety of humanitarian aid situations. The course consists of a series of interactive lectures, case based discussions, hands on practical equipment sessions and in-theatre teaching of drawover anaesthesia.
