Boojums of Adverse Events: can we prevent them?
One-day meeting to consider the implementation of the South Australia Coroner's recommendations
Postoperative mortality is a rare event in elective surgery and following the findings from the South Australia (SA) Coroner issued in February 2014 and the Advisory Notice A14-02 from ACSQHC
, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) invites you to join us at this one-day meeting to discuss the Coroner's recommendations and the impact these might have for the future.
The purpose of the day is to engage leaders in medicine and the private health industry in developing guidelines for practices that will enable safer perioperative management of patients, and understand some of what might be needed to reduce the risk of significant morbidity and mortality.
When: Saturday 7 February 2015
Where: Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide
